Dear Ecovillage Friends,
June 2010
Project Update
Narara
We are about to move into a very exciting stage of the project as the beautiful Narara land near Sydney comes back on to the market. If you are interested in this project as a possible resident, rental investor, supporter or future consultant, it is vital you join SCEV Inc Association right now so that your membership is covered from 1/7/10 to 30/6/11. We will use this list as a clear indication of the project supporters and to help inform decisions that will need to be made very soon.

Upcoming Events
The 5 Lands Walk
When: Saturday 3 July, 2010
Where: NSW Central Coast Beaches
What: 5 Lands Walk
Who: All members of your family and friends and new people are especially welcome
Please join us for an amazing local event so that we may start to learn about the region we wish to live in when we secure our land at Narara. The 5 Lands Walk is a community-based cultural, physical and spiritual event based on the NSW Central Coast.
The event connects people and places at five beachside communities - the 5 Lands of MacMasters Beach, Copacabana, Avoca Beach, North Avoca and Terrigal.
The 5 Lands Walk is a journey through and with the communities of the Central Coast, to engender a sense of belonging and connectedness.
The 5 Lands Walking route follows the spectacular coastline for nine kilometres, encompassing beaches, headlands, bushland and the specific Five Lands.
Shuttle buses will take participants from one location to another. Please see the website www.5landswalk.com.au for more details. Registration is required (probably to assess transportation provision) though we don’t think anyone will be turned away on the day. Download a form from their site, email to info@5landswalk.com.au
Or post signed form to 5 Lands Walk C/- Central Coast Tourism, PO Box 7177 Kariong NSW 2250
Transport: In the morning, park at the finish of the walk at Terrigal Haven, then take a shuttle bus (which start at 7am) to the start at MacMasters Beach (where you have your name marked off at the Surf Lifesaving Club). [*see below for directions to Terrigal Haven]
Car pooling would be a good idea, so please fill up your car and park at Terrigal Haven at 9am where we’ll join our first shuttle bus, which will return us to Terrigal Haven in the afternoon. In case you are running late, please ring Lyndall on 0419 279 711 or Linda on 0400546323 to find out where we are.
Afterwards we will meet up at Aromas on Sea (4384 3501) at the Crowne Plaza, Terrigal. – we will know more about that timing on the day.
All members of your family and friends and new people are especially welcome
Apart from registering you might like to send a quick email to lyndall@scev.org and say: ‘coming x 1, 2, etc’ on the subject line....too easy. Please also advise me if you would like a ride from Sydney or can offer someone a lift north.
Look forward to seeing you - hope you can join us.

*Getting to Terrigal Haven by car:
· Take the Sydney-Newcastle Freeway (#1) north from Sydney and take the “Gosford/Woy Woy/Terrigal” exit (the sign for the exit - #83 - will have an i symbol).
· This brings you onto the Central Coast Highway – follow for approx 15 minutes until the intersection with Terrigal Drive.
· Follow Terrigal Drive past Erina Fair and into Terrigal
· Continue through the town centre of Terrigal (the name of the road changes to Terrigal Esplanade), and up the hill past the town centre.
· The Haven turnoff is a sharp drop off to the left on a bend at the top of this steep hill. It is advisable to drive slowly at this point
