Jenny (a New Zealander) and Peter (English) met in the UK in 1976 where both were working in the arts – Peter as an actor and Jenny as Administrator. They moved to Australia in 1982, initially to Brisbane (where Jenny’s family had emigrated) and then to Sydney. Their first daughter Kate was born in 1985 and their second, Harriet, in 1989. In the meantime Peter retrained as a lawyer and now works for the State Government in the Department of Environment and Climate Change, prosecuting nasty polluters. Jenny is working at a great new performance venue called CarriageWorks, just around the corner from Redfern station and urges you all to come and see a show there. They are both interested in belonging to a strong community, like they do in their current street in Camperdown. They are also both interested in environmental issues and also in the way eco villages can help us cut down on consumption by sharing more stuff.
