We may offer a Club Med style timetable of optional activities.
We can thereby choose to participate (or not) without having to organise
our social encounters way in advance. |
Business
Centre
Our Business Centre could be fully equipped with all the necessary technology
in order to enable and encourage residents enterprises. In this way
residents could pool resources for a variety of business ventures,
for example a mail order business, internet marketing, consulting, eco/health
experience workshops, retreats, childcare or holiday programs, gardening,
maintenance work, farming and craft enterprises, catering, furniture making,
to name just a few.

Guest
House
We may develop a Guest House of motel style rooms for residents who require
temporary or more permanent assistance and for short stay visitors. This
area might also contain a small carers apartment so that any resident
or guest in need can be well looked after. Guests may be family or friends
privately visiting residents who may visit or stay in private homes or
in our Guest House.
Visitors may come on open days, visiting to attend a workshop
or to purchase goods or services. They may be WWOOFers (Willing workers
on Organic Farms), generally young people who work 20 hours per week in
exchange for full board they would have the option to work in the
Community Garden, with the Eco-friendly technologies or for residents
who may wish to utilise their services.

Homes
We may build simple, stylish, healthy and earth-friendly homes with reduced
energy bills within environmentally friendly and overall aesthetic
guidelines. We may choose to work from home and/or take advantage of a communal
Business Centre. We might consider around 80-100 dwellings, which may be owner/resident,
owner/non-resident, renter/resident and part owner/resident. We might have
a mix of residential options, for example, a two-storey apartment block,
two single storey attached townhouses and detached dwelling clusters of
5-6 homes in various configurations. |

Among many points, here we may consider:
o Aspects that will encourage a sense of community
o Energy plan
o Innovative technology
o Ecologically sustainable guidelines
o Waste water
o Water use
o Roads
o Solar energy, grid-interactive, renewable energy
o Sewerage effluent reuse with sub-surface irrigation
o Buildings of earth friendly materials

Village
Hall
This venue may be for the use of residents and friends, who may wish to
hire the hall for weddings, parties, balls, discos, theatre nights, kids
activities, yoga, movies or whatever may arise.
